The Janak Barn is a faithful replica of an early 1900s barn, dedicated in 2014 to symbolize the productivity and prosperity of Texas-Czech farm families. Funded by generous grants from Rita Huebner Janak, Sanford Schmid, and the City of La Grange Economic Development, the barn serves as both a functional exhibit and a cultural landmark.

The barn was central to farm life, used for storing crops, sheltering livestock, and hosting community gatherings. The Texas Czech Agriculture Museum housed within features engaging, interactive exhibits that highlight early farming tools, techniques, and traditions brought from the Czech lands and adapted to the Texas environment. These exhibits illustrate how Czech immigrants combined their heritage with new innovations to thrive in their adopted homeland.
