Celebrate Czech Heritage at Heritage Fest & Muziky 2026
The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center invites you to experience two days of Czech music, history, food and family fun during Heritage Fest & Muziky, October 16–17, 2026, in La Grange, Texas.
Heritage Fest celebrates the traditions and stories that generations of Czech Texans have worked to preserve. Visitors can explore the Czech Village, tour the museum and genealogy library, enjoy live music, browse vendors and exhibits, and experience activities that bring Czech and Texas history to life.
Friday, October 16
The festivities begin Friday evening with Octoberfest on the Deck, featuring live music by the Dujka Brothers. Guests can enjoy an evening of music, dancing, food and fellowship as Heritage Fest weekend gets underway.
Saturday, October 17
Saturday offers a full day of entertainment, cultural activities and attractions throughout the Center’s campus.
Scheduled activities include:
- Live music by Czech and Then Some
- Live music by Lost Cause
- Amphitheater performance by Harry Czarnek & the Texas Dutchmen
- Taroky card play in Hanslik Hall
- Antique Farm Show at the Newspaper Museum
- Car Show in front of the Main Building
- Czech Village tours
- Museum and genealogy exhibits
- Archives and historical displays
- Vendors and exhibitors
- Czech food and refreshments
- Family-friendly activities
Visitors will also have the opportunity to view “250 Years of Czech American Legacy,” a special exhibit exploring the history, accomplishments and enduring influence of Czech Americans.
Heritage Fest & Muziky is more than a festival—it is an opportunity to experience the music, craftsmanship, stories and traditions that continue to shape Czech life in Texas. Whether your family has Czech roots or you simply enjoy great music, history and community celebrations, everyone is welcome.
